Mike Visits with Third District Residents
As a candidate, Mike promised to be accessible to third district residents once elected. To honor that promise, he plans to attend a number of community events in the district throughout his term of office, and to hold regular office hours at times when citizens can attend. These pictures represent some recent events.
Mike Helps Clean Up Vines Gardens Park
Commissioner Beaudreau stopped by Vines Gardens Park in Loganville on October 15th, 2005 to help out with a work day organized by the Gwinnett Parks Foundation. Over 60 members of local garden clubs, high school groups, and citizens helped plant pansies and spring flowering bulbs, along with spreading pine straw and cleaning up the park. Other volunteers helped clean up Ronald Reagan Park on Five Forks Trickum Road.
"The Parks Foundation provides a valuable service to Gwinnett citizens," the commissioner commented. "By organizing work days like this, and sponsoring other events, the foundation helps keep up the quality of life we enjoy in the county."

Mike Talks to Members of Chamber's Town Business Connection
Commissioner Beaudreau recently spoke at a meeting of the Gwinnett Chamber of Commerce Town Business Connection, bringing attended up to date on county programs. The Town Business Connection is a Chamber program for leaders of Gwinnett's city business and merchant's associations.
Beaudreau Assists in Groundbreaking for New Grayson Library
Mike joined other county officials on July 28th, 2005 for the groundbreaking of the new Grayson Branch Library on Grayson Parkway. Paid for as part of the 2001 Local Option Sales Tax, the new facility has been long awaited by Grayson residents.

District 3 Library Board appointee Lloyd Breck, Board Treasurer Phyllis Oxendine, Mike, Commission Chairman Charles Bannister, and County Administrator Jock Connell throw out shovelfuls of dirt at the groundbreaking for the county's newest library.

Addressing the crowd at the groundbreaking, Mike said that as a Grayson resident, he was looking forward to the library's opening.

Mike Helps Break Ground for New Police and Fire Stations;
Auto Tag Office in District 3
On June 28th, 2005, the county held groundbreaking ceremonies for the new Eastside Police Precinct in Dacula, and the new Fire Station 12 and Tag Office in Snellville. The new facilities will replace the existing cramped quarters currently in use.

Beaudreau Participates in Vines Gardens Park Ribbon Cutting
On April 12th, 2005, Mike and other county officials held a ribbon cutting ceremony at Vines Gardens Park. Located in the Third district between Grayson and Loganville, the park is again open to residents, and includes about 20 acres of landscaped areas surrounding a lake. In the future, county officials hope to open the remaining 60 acres of property to the public, and to get the community involved in maintaining the landscaping and gardens.

Mike Holds Saturday Office Hours
Honoring a commitment made during his campaign for office, Mike held his first Saturday Office Hours on January 8th. Over a dozen constituents dropped by to discuss issues ranging from rezoning concerns to the difficulties experienced in getting a building permit.
Saturday office hours will normally he held the second week of every month, from 10 AM until 2 PM.
