Dr. Allen Hughes Offers Beaudreau Endorsement
Lawrenceville, GA July 27, 2004 – Dr. Allen Hughes, Administrative Pastor at Hebron Baptist Church in Dacula, endorsed Mike Beaudreau today in the candidate’s effort to gain the nomination for the Gwinnett County Commission Third District seat.
In his statement, Dr. Hughes said, "I am proud to give my whole-hearted endorsement to Mike Beaudreau. I feel Mike has the values that our county needs on a local level. He will hold firm with these values while others may be swayed. I also feel Mike has the visionary leadership that Gwinnett County will need as we continue to grow."
Upon hearing of the endorsement, Beaudreau commented, "I appreciate the confidence that Dr. Hughes has in me. If elected, I pledge to follow my conservative principles when making decisions that affect county residents."
The endorsement from Dr. Hughes is the latest in a growing number of recommendations from community leaders. Mike has also been endorsed by the Gwinnett Firefighters Association, Gwinnett Municipal Association President Rick Johnson, former Gwinnett Planning commissioners Diane Kesler and Teresa Cantrell, the Gwinnett Group of the Sierra Club, Loganville City Council member Sara Bacon, and the Atlanta Journal-Constitution.
The nomination for District 3 Commissioner will be decided on August 10th.
