Beaudreau Campaign Reaches 100 Contributor Milestone

Lawrenceville, GA May 21, 2004 – The Committee to Elect Mike Beaudreau announced today that 100 individuals and companies have made contributions to the effort to elect Mike Beaudreau to the Gwinnett County Commission Third District seat. The mark was set despite the campaign not yet having a formal fundraising event.

"The contributions to my campaign have come in from individuals and small businesses that support my goals of homeowner friendly growth, reduced taxes, stronger public safety agencies, and a more open county government," the candidate commented. "I am also proud to say that none of the contributors are property developers or home builders. By refusing to take contributions from developers, I will be able to remain unbiased when decisions regarding rezonings and land use come before the Commission."

The hundredth contribution was made by District 3 resident Jay Wagner of Stone Mountain. The campaign noted that over 80 percent of the contributions made to the campaign come from residents in the district.

About Mike Beaudreau

Mike Beaudreau is a National Accounts Manager for Ricoh Corporation, and has been a Gwinnett County resident for the past five years. He is past president of his homeowner’s association, and served as second vice chairman of the Gwinnett Republican party. He graduated from Clemson University in 1997, and has completed additional studies at Georgetown University. He and his wife Tegwen live in the Grayson/Lawrenceville area of the county.

Gwinnett County’s third commission district includes portions of Dacula, Grayson, Lawrenceville, Lilburn, Loganville, Snellville, and Stone Mountain.
